When Christian Nationalists Say ‘THE LEFT’ Who Do They Mean?

It's a lot more people than you think. PLEASE SHARE THIS NEWSLETTER WITH EVERYONE YOU KNOW.

Yesterday, and I had our weekly chat. Today, I had planned to tie together Project 2025, Project Esther, and NSPM-7 (the “antifa are terrorists” Executive Order), but this bit of mine and Sam’s conversation made me take a step back:

Because what I am about to reiterate is so critical, I am not paywalling today’s newsletter. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SHARE IT WITH EVERYONE YOU KNOW.

In the video, Sam and I talk about Kevin Roberts, president of the Heritage Foundation (author of Project 2025 and Project Esther) and radicalized extremist Christian Nationalist Catholic possibly affiliated with the Catholic cult Opus Dei.

Here’s the exact Kevin Roberts quote we discuss:

“We are in the process of the second American Revolution, which will remain bloodless if the left allows it to be,” Kevin Roberts said in an interview on Steve Bannon’s “War Room” podcast on Tuesday. (SOURCE: USA Today)

Last year, I translated this quote as If you resist, we will kill you.

Throughout this work, I have hammered what Christian Nationalists like Kevin Roberts believe, but it bears repeating:

  • The United States was founded as a CHRISTIAN nation (according to their Christian Nationalist definition of Christian)

  • The Bible is the infallible, perfect Word of God

  • The Bible is God’s law

  • The Bible should be the basis of our laws (theocratic government with laws drawn from the Christian Nationalist interpretation of the Bible)

  • Many are white supremacists because of a Bible story

  • The Founders instituted the separation of church and state to protect the CHURCH from the STATE, not vice versa as most Americans are taught

  • They cannot compromise one inch on their beliefs because God’s law is perfect and infallible; everyone must live by God’s law

We see this opposition to compromise echoed in Samuel Alito’s secret recording from last summer where he said the following:

“On one side or the other — one side or the other is going to win,” he said. “I don’t know. I mean, there can be a way of working — a way of living together peacefully, but it’s difficult, you know, because there are differences on fundamental things that really can’t be compromised. They really can’t be compromised. So it’s not like you are going to split the difference.” (SOURCE: Salon)

Alito is rumored to be in the same Catholic cult of Opus Dei as Roberts, but this insistence on forcing everyone to live by their religious laws and refusing to compromise are central tenets of all Christian Nationalist factions.

Which brings me back to my conversation with Sam yesterday. He paraphrased Roberts’ quote as “Democrats or liberals,” and I stopped him with, “He said THE LEFT.” With a radicalized extremist Christian Nationalist fanatic like Roberts, it’s extremely important wording.

Here’s why.

Most Americans view our beliefs, alignments, and political affiliations as on a spectrum. We have far-left, center-left, the middle, center-right, far-right, and anything in between.

Because of their belief in their own certainty as faith and their refusal to compromise, Christian Nationalists DO NOT FOLLOW THIS SPECTRUM OF BELIEF. If your views do not line up with theirs EXACTLY, YOU ARE “THE LEFT.” Because you are to the left of them.

I believe this concept is so vital for Americans to understand, I even made a video and drew pictures (and I am a terrible artist.)

I’ll reiterate this again in tomorrow’s newsletter as we go through the “antifa” executive order, because this is so much more hideous and scary than anyone is reporting.

But please, if you take nothing else away from today, understand that EVERYONE TO THE LEFT OF CHRISTIAN NATIONALISTS IS THE LEFT. Everyone everyone everyone.

  • I voted for this 3 times but I don’t agree with all these religious laws. YOU ARE THE LEFT.

  • I’m a Christian who’s active in my church and believe we should act like Jesus and show empathy and compassion. I oppose treating immigrants and Peoples of Color like animals. YOU ARE THE LEFT.

  • I’m a fiscal conservative and a socially more diverse. YOU ARE THE LEFT.

  • I’m a registered Republican, but I support same-sex marriage. YOU ARE THE LEFT.

I hope I’m making my point, but I will hammer it even harder tomorrow. I hope you’ll join me.

And again, PLEASE SHARE TODAY’S NEWSLETTER FAR AND WIDE. It is vital that more Americans understand what this means and what could be getting ready to happen.
